Imagine spending over a decade compiling your Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree, and endless hours of continuing education into your passion and career to bring healing and love to others. Imagine helping start a business from the ground up, continuing to follow your passion. Now imagine, just as everything seems to be falling into place, you receive news that a small mole on your leg and a spot on your chest are cancerous. Kim has recently experienced just this. Diagnosed with Melanoma and Carcinoma (skin cancer) we are unsure of what lies ahead. What we do know is, that along with the emotional waves, there is a financial reality that it will bring. She has gone through one procedure thus far, and is scheduled for surgery tomorrow morning to take a larger area and a lymph node for testing. A third procedure is scheduled for October.
It's hard to ask for help, as we all know. Any gift you may be willing to give, (whether it's prayer, sending good juju, love, healing intentions, or the generosity of a financial donation) will help this process be more comforting. As some of you know, she doesn’t have paid time off, so even a small financial gesture may give her peace of mind to take an extra day off when she needs to focus on her own healing.
Kim gives love to every person and creature she meets. She spreads light into the world where there is darkness. Her laugh fills the room and brings love to all who are graced with her presence. It's our turn now to do what we can to help her process this chapter of her life (and not use her entire vacation fund for medical expenses). Please join me in prayer, immediate love, compassionate support and any donation you are able to make. Shake the couch cushions if you must, every penny will be put to great use to help our beautiful friend. I will update you as updates come in.
