Kim’s Breast Cancer Treatment

Hello world, never thought I’d be on this side of the fence looking out, but here we are. 2 weeks ago my wife was diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast Cancer with metastases to the bone (femur, hips, and spine). We’ve met with our Oncologist and she recommends radiation and a host of hormone blocking medication that she will most likely be taking for the rest of her life. Although her diagnosis was grim we remained faithful and continued to pray through this. Yesterday we toured the Cancer Center for Healing in Irvine and met with Dr. VonSchaefer MD who is a surgeon and has been practicing medicine for over 30 years. She has been trained traditionally and also integrates cutting edge treatment with her patients. Besides the hyperbaric chambers, infrared saunas, blood cycling, natural IV treatments, and all the other awesome natural treatments they offered, they offered my wife HOPE. We sat in the car after the appointment and she said, “this is the first time since the appointment with the Oncologist that I feel I have hope that I’m not going to die.” POSITIVITY is the mantra now and I’m reaching out to my FB fam for help. Inquiring about loans but it takes time and her pain is going on NOW, this cancerous tumor is growing NOW. We do not want radiation or chemo therapy so we are taking this natural route for healing. They are recommending 4-6 weeks of treatment, 5 days a week, for 4-6 hours a day. These weekly IV treatments will tally about $6,000 and that’s not including the other herbal supplements she has to take, not to mention treatments after the IV’s to aggressively attack these tumors and prevent them from returning. We obviously do not have this type of money laying around so while we search for ways to liquidate our own assets I thought I’d try this to get her treatment started faster. This experience has spawned an idea to start a non-profit for women like my wife who are seeking other options to radiation.
