Hey everyone! If you know me,  you might know about my plans to take part in a YWAM DTS in January of 2018. If not, I'd really appreciate it if you took a few minutes to read about it and consider helping me in whatever way possible. :)

I have been hoping, praying, and planning for quite a while now to take part in the Performing Arts Discipleship Training School with Youth With A Mission in Perth, Western Australia. Youth With A Mission is an evangelical non-profit organisation working with the mission statement “To know God, and to make Him known”. YWAM’s main goal is to present Jesus to people of this generation, and to equip people to love, serve, and present the whole gospel to the whole world. YWAM has several bases across the globe, where they host a variety of discipleship training schools. A discipleship training school lasts for 6 months, the first 3 months consist of lectures and training, while the second 3 months consist of global outreach. The performing arts discipleship training school works to help students grow in their knowledge and relationship with God, as well as show them how to use their love for the performing arts to share the value of Christ to today’s society. Learning takes place through lectures, corporate prayer and worship times, small groups, one-on-one teaching, rehearsals, and outreach.

I have always had a passion for both missions and the arts, but never knew how the two went together. As I graduated high school and began the next phase of life in university, I continued to wonder how these two passions could possibly go together. As I continued to seek God more and more, I felt increasingly led to step out of the “usual routine” and do something that would allow me to learn, grow, and dive much deeper into my relationship with God. Through a series of events, I became aware of YWAM and their work. Finding out that the performing arts DTS existed was an absolute answer to prayer, as it seemed to be exactly what I was looking for. It was as if God was looking down on me and saying "Go!".

I have been accepted to this program, and am very excited for this opportunity. However, I do not currently have enough money to pay tuition, as well as other expenses involved in doing a DTS. I would very much appreciate your donations and your prayers. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and considering how you can help.
