<div>My name is Kimberly, and I live in North Dakota with my husband and our 2 dogs. I'm a social worker by trade. I'm currently not working in that capacity, and I'm only able to drive for Lyft occasionally. My husband goes above and beyond to provide for us and does an amazing job of doing so!

<div>In July 2021, my husband and I had a tragic total loss house fire. The following week, I saw a specialist regarding a mass that was growing on my thyroid. A few months later, I had surgery to remove it, and the mass measured 4.3 cm. It came back as Hurthle cell cancer of the thyroid. Due to being a rare cancer, I have been receiving treatment through the Mayo Clinic. (Praise God each checkup has remained “no evidence of cancer.”)

<div>On September 4, 2023, I was driving and started to have terrible chest pain, so I went to the ER, and it was determined that I was having an SVT episode; my heart rate was over 200, and I was chemically cardioverted. I was referred to a cardiologist and had many tests done. I seemed to be doing well, just taking some medication. Then, in January 2025, I had my second episode, needing chemical cardioversion. My third episode was August 2, 2025; my fourth episode was October 24, 2025; my fifth episode was November 20, 2025; my sixth episode was December 3, 2025 (while in NY with family); and my seventh episode was last Tuesday, January 27, 2026. All of these episodes required ER visits and cardioversion.

<div>Between these episodes, I have been following the doctor's referrals and have had many tests, procedures, and visits with various providers. As a result of these things, I resigned from my job in September 2025, after being recommended by several different providers. I am scheduled to have surgery on March 11, 2026. <strong>It is likely that this surgery will correct the problem; at least, that's the hope.</strong> With all that being said, even with health insurance, the medical bills (along with living bills) continue to stack up more and more.

<div><strong>I am not a victim; I am victorious in Christ!</strong> I'm trusting in His plan and will use this craziness to glorify Him. If I'm honest, it's extremely overwhelming at times. I know God will always provide, and it's my job to trust Him.
