Kim & Michael Williams Medical Fund

My 47 -year-old sister, Kim and her husband Michael have just been faced with the unthinkable. In late August, 2017 Kim was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. She immediately underwent a very intrusive surgery, however the tumor was inoperable at that time. She is currently seeking medical attention at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa and her treatment plan now includes extensive chemotherapy treatments. She began chemotherapy last week and has a very long road ahead of her to fight this horrible disease. On the day Kim's treatment began, she received a horrible phone call from her husband telling her he was just diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer. He too is seeking medical attention at Moffitt and will know his course of treatment better later this week. They both are employees of Southwest airlines and have lived a life full of working very hard. They have good medical insurance however she will be unable to work for a very long time because she is too susceptible to infection during her chemotherapy treatments.
