Kim McBee's Medical Expenses

This gofund me page is for my sister, Kim Mcbee. She has already battled cervical cancer and lung cancer. Throughout the chemo and radiation, she continued to work and try to support herself and her family. But even then,  the bills were unsurmountable .

Recently she had surgery for a double hernia that was causing her so much pain. They put this surgery off as long as they could because she was considered high risk being a cancer patient. She had to wait for her insurance to go into effect before she could even go to the doctor. Kim worked the entire time so sick that she thought she wouldn’t make it through the day.

 After the surgery she developed complications. She had to go back into surgery for them to repair damage to her intestines. She is now in ICU at Gordon Hospital. They told us she would be there at least 7-10 days. If things turn for the worst and infection sets up it could be months. 

Kim has always put others before herself . She adopted 2 girls after being left by their mother and took the responsibility of raising them.  She has never turned her back on anything or anyone. She’s a mother. She’s a grandmother. She’s a daughter. She’s a sister. Most importantly she’s devoted her life to God. Kim has always trusted the Lord to meet all of her needs and He has NEVER let her down. She has always been faithful in giving even when she didn’t have it to give.


Kim is self-employed as a hairdresser and has already been out of work for the previous problems with cancer. Now she will be out of work for an extended time. She has no means of any other income.  It is a constant worry for her to meet her bills. She has struggled for a long time so this will add a tremendous burden. We all know the cost of medications, medical bills, and not to mention the cost of living. These things are needed and will not stop just because you get sick. Her family is helping out the best they can but have their obligations as well. 

Life isn’t always fair but God always has a plan.
