Kili To The Coast For A Cause

Donation protected

In June, I will be biking 400 miles across Tanzania to raise money for The Foundation For Tomorrow (TFFT), a non-profit that secures quality education and emotional support for orphaned and vulnerable children in Tanzania.

Over the course of 10 very challenging days, I will be biking with a team of riders through rural Tanzania from Mount Kilimanjaro to the Indian Ocean. Along the way, we will have the opportunity to visit some of the schools and orphanages, meet the kids and students, and witness TFFT's mission in action.

WHY I AM DOING THIS:
I'm excited to channel my energy and passion for athletics to ignite change and ensure a lasting and measurable impact for some of the most vulnerable population in Tanzania. I'm so humbled by this opportunity to be a small part in such a meaningful mission that is way beyond myself and my capacity.

I believe that when we come to the end of ourselves, that's when God steps in and does mighty work through our meekness, especially at the expense of our own comfort.

This is a huge challenge -- physically, emotionally, and financially -- but I firmly believe that by stepping out in faith, and by seeking the support of my friends, family, and community, we will see lives changed, children loved, and vulnerable populations made strong.

There's no limit to what we can do, and I'm ready to see God move in mighty ways.

This is going to be an incredibly difficult journey, but a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to make a real, lasting impact on vulnerable children in need.

The immediate need for this trip is $4,000 due by April 20th. This covers part of the costs of the trip (food, lodging, and guide support for 14 days and 13 nights). I officially met this part of the trip cost!

I expect flights and immunizations to cost $2600, which is why I have raised the goal to $6600.

I also have an additional $3500 to raise directly for TFFT before I leave in June. If you’d like to donate directly to TFFT to my $3500 goal, you can do so on my athlete page:

Also: If you would like to avoid a "tip" to gofundme when making your donation, you can choose "other" in the tip field and manually enter $0.00.

I hope that you will partner with me on this wild ride.
Aside from giving financially, there are several ways to support me:
SHARE:
Please share my campaign with everyone you know who might be interested in partnering with me!
PRAY:
Please pray for Team TFFT (specifically, for our bodies as we train for this ride; for our hearts/minds as we mentally prepare for such a challenging experience; for our safety during travel, while riding through rural Africa, and camping in the desert; and that we exceed our fundraising goals).
CONNECT:
Please send me words of encouragement, training advice, more fundraising ideas, or anything you think might help! (Click on the mail button by my name to contact me)

I will be sure to keep in touch with every donor before and after this experience so that you know exactly how your money and support affected TFFT's mission.

Thank you so much for your kindness, generosity, and support.
