I am climbing Kilimanjaro with two friends from high school in an effort to raise $1,934 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. [  $1 for every 10 feet!  ] The work this organization does makes a huge impact in the fight to free individuals — and the families who love them — from the harmful effects of muscular dystrophy, ALS and related life-threatening diseases so they can live longer and grow stronger. My father has fought Muscular Dystrophy all his life and my mother has been his primary carer and this charity is making tremendous progress in research breakthroughs across diseases to accelerate treatments and cures. <a href="https://www.mda.org/" target="_blank" class="" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://www.mda.org/</a> PLEASE NOTE I HAVE COVERED ALL EXPENSES FOR THIS TRIP AND SO EVERY $$ YOU GIVE GOES DIRECTLY TO THE CHARITY (minus the % pesky gofundme take). I can assure you that climbing the 19,341 feet to the summit will be extremely difficult (even when we were much leaner aged 15 in the photo) and as such there is no way I can complete it without packing in cigarettes.
