Kilimanjaro Climb for Memory

This January I am planning to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro for the non-profit organization Climb For Memory! Climb For Memory is a non-profit charity aimed at raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer's disease by climbing mountains around the world. I would be part of a team for this climb, hiking with the founder of Climb For Memory and 4x USA Memory Champion, Nelson Dellis.
Your donation will be used to cover park fees, equipment/gear, rescue fees,  transfers to/from the gate and airport, and African guides and porters. All excess donations received beyond those to promote awareness through climb participation will be donated directly to Climb For Memory.
Alzheimer’s disease is an irreversible, progressive brain disorder that slowly destroys memory and thinking skills, and eventually the ability to carry out the simplest tasks. It  is currently ranked as the sixth leading cause of death in the United States, but recent estimates indicate that the disorder may rank third, just behind heart disease and cancer, as a cause of death for older people.
Ninety percent of what we know about Alzheimer's has been discovered in the last 20 years. More awareness and subsequent funding for this disorder are paramount for the effort to improve research and treatment options.
