Kigoma Community Hope School Tanzania

Hudu Hamis is the teacher at Kigoma Community Hope School in Tanzania and leader of Green and Humanitarian Organization Kigoma, Tanzania ~ www.ghotanzania.com

He reached out to me for lesson plans over a year ago to educate his students on plastic pollution, the water cycle & sustainability. I sent him everything I had and we became friends.

At Christmas we sent school books, pencils, chalk, hard copies of the lesson plans and some lollies to the other side of the world and we transferred a few hundred dollars to Hudu to do with as he saw fit.

As Covid hit we sent masks & sanitization gear to keep his children safe. A colleague gathered all the supplies we could afford including a solar panel and battery so Hudu could teach at night and fabric and sewing equipment so the children could make masks for their families.

Hudu's dream is:
1) to roof his salvaged material school building
2) to buy desks and chairs for his kids
3) to have a blackboard
4) to install a water tank and pump
5) to develop the seedling nursery and continue to educate his student in regenerative practices.

I think we can help make this happen.

Please give generously if you can.

With much love,

Alison Foley
