Kiernan's Team Summit Fund to ski

Friends and family who know me, know my story. 5 years ago my husband, and the father of my 3 children was wrongly convicted of a 20 year old cold case murder and is currently serving LWOP. He was convicted based on purely circumstancial evidence, and we are fighting this wrongful conviction. In the mean time, I am trying hard, with a lot of support from family and friends, to raise my three children and to not let this situation ruin them or limit thier opportunities in life. So far, my children are all superstars and they are the center of my universe and the light of my life. They are all honor roll students, athletes, and all around good kids. But, it is hard to afford three kids on a teacher's salary, and also pay a lot of money towards my husband every month. Money is very tight, even with all of the help I get from my family. One of the things that keeps my kids going is their focus on extra-curricular activiites. This year my son Kiernan, who is 8, wants to join Team Summit to ski. He did mountain biking with Team Summit over the summer and he loves the community and being a part of the team. In fact, he wears his Team Summit jersey nearly every day. He also really has developed a bond with the coach, who would coach him for skiing as well, and has talked with him about skiing. Being a part of this team would mean the world  to him, and it breaks my heart to tell him that it is simply out of my financial reach. I tried every local venue for financial aid or scholarsip help, but none of them can help me. I am doing this GoFundMe as a last resort because I know how good this opportunity will be for Kiernan and I want him to be able to have this opportunity. I know that it will help him in so many ways beyond learning to ski. This is a chance for him to be a part of a team and a community and to have support and comoradorie with other kids in the community. I hate asking for help, but I will do anything for my children, and I know that this is important to Kiernan. Any help you can give will mean the world to me and to my family.  Thank you!!
