Kiereek Seymour is the father of an 8 year-old boy and a former nursing student, he has been behind bars or out on bond for over three years. A number of irregularities involved in the charging of Kiereek raised red flags that racial bias was present. There were no lights or sirens on in the police car that tailed Mr. Seymour and eventually lead to the erroneous charge of ‘felony fleeing.’ There is no evidence that Mr. Seymour had been intoxicated during either incident for which he has been charged with. There is no evidence that Kiereek was at fault in the tragic accident that resulted in the death of a motorist.
Kiereek's case is now being heard by a different judge due to a mistrial that involved juror tampering. Now, Kiereek's family has to bear the cost of an additional trial.
