Hi, my name is Kiera. I'm a transgender woman, living life the best I can and surrounded by fantastic friends and family. I'm on the waiting list for Nottingham gender clinic and have been patiently waiting for my first appointment for 2 years. I initially thought I would have gender reaffirming surgery within around 5 to 6 years. Today I noticed the first appointment has slipped a further 5 months , and there's an apology on the website for the increasing delay between 1st and 2nd appointment.. (now around 18 months) and that only completes diagnosis before any treatment is started!

I'm trying my best to stay positive and keep it together, but this news has really sapped the life from me.

I now know I have to follow a private route and appreciate any help in helping me raise money towards this goal of going the private route to achieve the surgery by 2027
