Kieran's surgery Fund

Hi! My name is Kieran, and I'm a trans masc artist based out of Raleigh, NC. While I'm mostly post transition at this point I need a hysterectomy for health reasons. I do not have any other income other than my art, which doesn't bring in much, and the pain I'm in makes working more or finding other work difficult. I'm struggling just to pay basic living expenses and have no hope of paying for surgery without help.

A hysterectomy is surgery to remove the uterus, and in some cases the ovaries as well. I've been on testosterone for a while, and having abdominal pain on and off for the past few months. I understand this is a sign that I will need this surgery soon. I don't know the full extent of the surgery I will need yet. I have a consult with a doctor scheduled for December 4. (edit: the consult has been moved up to November 22) Hopefully I will know more after that.

I do not yet know if insurance will cover any of the cost, but even if it does my deductible is so high it may not do me any good.  The goal I've set is basically that deductible. I'm hoping to revise it if/when I get a better idea of the actual cost.
