Kief Needs Surgery

Around the end of February, I took Kief to the vet because he had been limping for about a week or so. I didn't imagine a simple check-up would escalate to x-rays resulting in bone cancer in his left shoulder. Asking the doctor for an estimated life expectancy was hard enough for me to do at the moment, but trying to comprehend the answer of only two weeks seemed impossible to accept. Since then, I have taken him for a second and third opinion and received x-rays from two other veterinary offices. Kief turns 10 this month and is still full of the same energy and enthusiasm as the day I got him at 2 months old. The dynamic of our relationship and connection isn't comparable to anything I could put into words although his whimpers from separation anxiety come pretty close. It is very hard to come out and ask for help with funding his amputation (and possible session of chemotherapy treatment) but it this point seems necessary. Any little thing helps as I understand times can be tight, so a simple repost is more than appreciated.
