Kid's Yoga New Orleans

Studies have lead researchers to believe that stressors adolescents face in their daily life are contributing or causal factors in the development of behavioral and mental health issues. This suggests that students would greatly benefit from an early intervention program offering techniques that help regulate stress.  Research has revealed that yoga and meditation can contribute to positive changes in behavior and psychological state for both children and adults.

Yoga and meditation have changed my life for the better and I want to introduce these concepts to the children who need it the most. Tulane University has given me the opportunity to do this by helping me implement this community service project in the New Orleans area. Now, I need your help to find the funds to pay the wonderful kid's yoga teachers who will dedicate their time to making a meaningful difference in the lives of the children who need help coping with the stressors they face in their daily life. The money will also go towards supplies such as yoga mats, blankets, blocks and art supplies to enhance the program. The program will be implemented in January 2018 and the more funding we have, the more programs we can offer in the community.
