Help us elevate over 100 children in Myanmar out of poverty for the rest of their lives!  

Who is M2M and MIMR?
Since 2017, humanitarian foreign aid provider, Mission2Myanmar (M2M) has fed, housed, clothed, educated, and provided means to start trades for hundreds of disadvantaged people from our generous supporter donations.

Located on the outskirts of Yangon, the Myanmar Institute of Mission and Research (MIMR) campus is M2M's largest aid recipient. This private boarding school and orphanage shelter accommodate over 130 children plus onsite caretakers and teachers at full capacity during the school year.

The reason for this crowdfunding campaign
Many of our valued supporters were unable to continue their donations due to the COVID crisis and funding therefore sharply plummeted. The children at the MIMR campus are now in desperate need of better quality food and education.

Better quality food
Although the children have survived during the COVID crisis on little more than rice and green vegetables, more adequate nutrition is needed for the youngsters to thrive. Adequate protein, vitamins, and minerals are required for physical development, strong bones, and healthy immune systems. The chicken dinner enjoyed in the video above is a rare treat and your donation will help provide the additional nourishment these growing bodies need.

Education
To effectively elevate these children's lives from poverty, they need an education that provides them with the skills to work as adults. We would also love to see these children live up to their full potential and receive the opportunities to make a difference in the world and help others. Although the orphans are taught Burmese, mathematics, English and some are taught agricultural cultivation for survival, they would greatly benefit from a broader education including technical subjects, social sciences, physical education, music, visual arts, and languages.    

The orphanage school has already been blessed with textbooks and exam tables from an M2M shipment of donations last year. The children in the video above are sitting at the tables and being taught from the resources provided. Unfortunately, the craft lesson in the video is a one-off treat as there are not sufficient resources to include classes like these in their regular education.

Sewing is an excellent income-generating skill for those living in a developing country such as Myanmar. The orphanage is currently teaching sewing using two sewing machines already donated by M2M, however, additional sewing machines and haberdashery are needed to adequately cover the number of children who wish to learn this skill.

When do we need the money?
Our goal is to raise $35,000 by the end of September, 2021. The children need these funds as soon as possible to ensure their healthy development.
