Kidneys for Dex

Hi Everyone!
I wanted to make this Go Fund Me for our good friend Dex!
Four years ago, Dex was told he needed to lose weight because his blood pressure was strangely high. After losing some weight, Dex was convinced that the weight wasn't the only issue. Several doctor's appointments and tests later, he was told, at not even 30 years old, that he had Stage 4 Kidney Disease.
Two years after this diagnosis, Dex caught pneumonia, which knocked out the rest of his kidneys' functioning completely. Today, he spends 8 hours a day on dialysis. Dex is on a kidney transplant list and is taking the steps to aggressively get on as many as possible! This takes time away from work and money to travel to different transplant centers, which could potentially be in different states.
Dex has continued working as a 911 Dispatcher for Seminole County, FL throughout all of this. He plans to continue to work, but being able to take time off for doctor's appointments and travel to transplant centers with financial ease has become increasingly more difficult. What Dex will need to do in the coming months is get on as many transplant lists as possible, which includes extensive testing/screening and TIME!
I wanted to put this Go Fund Me together to help raise some funds for Dex so he can prioritize his health and get the transplant he needs ASAP!
Also, receiving a kidney transplant isn't as easy as having a person in need and just anyone (preferably living) willing to give up one of their organs. There are many factors including overall health, weight, height, blood type, etc, that all contribute to finding the right donor with a viable kidney. With that said, I wanted this Go Fund Me to serve as a platform to get the word out in case there is someone out there that could be a match for Dex! Dex is in process of finding out his blood type and I will update as soon as possible.
Please share with as many people as possible and let's get Dex a new shiny kidney!
