Jill's Getting a Kidney!!!! Jill recently found out that she has a match from a Kidney Donor and will undergo her much anticipated transplant on July 11, 2019!!

This story began in March 2018, when Jill thought she had the flu. It turns out, she had a very rare auto immune disease called "Anti GBM Disease" that attacked both of her kidneys, destroying them. She was left with Stage 5 Kidney Disease (End Stage Renal Disease). As a result, she has been on dialysis 3 days a week for 4 hours per day. She attends dialysis at a local dialysis center. This treatment has kept her alive until she receives the ultimate gift... A NEW KIDNEY!
Jill is a strong, beautiful, loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She has been a pillar of strength during this battle and has shown tremendous ability to stay positive.
She is married to her husband, Steve and has 4 children. Nathan (20), Olivia (18), Liam (16), and Alan (14). She lives in a suburb of Philadelphia Pennsylvania and is treating with The University of Pennsylvania.
While Jill's insurance will cover all costs of a transplant, including medical costs for her donor, it will NOT cover the "non-medical" costs.
Jill's donor is a family member who lives in Florida. Her donor is a stay-at-home Mom with three young children. Since she is out of state, we will need to cover the cost of transportation, hotel accommodations and meals. It is anticipated that she will be in PA for approx. 3 weeks to undergo pre-op testing, surgery, and immediate post-op care.
We are asking for donations to help cover some of these costs, as this surgery is quickly approaching. Our immediate needs are airfare for travel and hotel accommodations then we want to cover the cost of dog-sitting and child care/meals for the donor's family while she is in PA.
We are so grateful for our miracle for Jill and ask for your continued prayers for Jill and her donor. Thank you for sharing in Jill's journey and your continued support. It has been so comforting to know that there are so many people praying and sharing in her journey and the Joy we have for her as she receives the Gift of Life.
