Kidney Transplant/Donation May 1st

On May 1st, I will be receiving a kidney from a live donor. My husband, Gregg, does not match my blood type so he is donating his kidney on May 2nd to someone else whose donor matches me. He is making this sacrifice so I can live. He is my hero!
I am in end stage kidney disease with complications; and, we are part of a 6 person “kidney chain” with 3 donors and 3 recipients.
Our immediate concern is raising $5,300 for caregiver services not covered by insurance since we will both be down from the surgery and unable to work or care for each other for 6 weeks.
According to the Cleveland Clinic, sinve we are both having surgery, the insurance does not cover almost $28,000 of out of pocket costs (some anti-rejection drugs, co-pays, etc).
Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated! So far we’ve raised $325 toward our short term goal for the caregiver cost of $5,300.
