Kidney For Miranda

Miranda is a young married 41 year old mother of two who is need of a kidney. She is the mother of two young beautiful girls. Emily, 13 and Claire, 10 who both adore and rely on their mother. Miranda was diagnosed Type 2 Diabetes when she was 17 years old and secondary hypertension related to the diabetes. Her kidney disease is a direct relation with her diabetes, hypertension and chronic genetic kidney disease.

April 2013, Miranda got sick with kidney failure. She started over a few months missing hours at work and ended up having to leave her job. Miranda was dedicated to her children's life and volunteering at their school. She was the secretary of PTO and was promoted to Treasurers and Vice President but slowly had to stop due to illness.

Since then Miranda has battled between peritoneal diaylsis and hemodialysis. She currently spends three days a week at the dialysis center with common sides that exhaust her for the day.

Miranda is currently on the transplant list but due to her Type O blood it makes it difficult for her to receive a kidney. She can only receive from Type O because Type O is able to give to anyone. This makes it difficult to find a donor. She is able find a donor that is willing to help her extend her life expectancy along with the quality of her life with her children.
