Kidney Bean

It's Elena, I've been living with kidney disease since I was 22.  I had my first transplant at 23.  My donor kidney worked for me through two pregnancies, and 26 years of living!  In 2016 my first donor kidney failed, I started dialysis and now, through the incredible gift of a friend, I have been blessed and will be receiving my second transplant.  This time, a living donor transplant.  My friend Scott & I will be part of a 7 pair kidney swap, commonly referred to as a domino surgery.   Next week, Scott will be donating a kidney to a fellow kidney disease person, and I will be receiving a kidney from another living donor.  I have been asked how friends may be able to help and decided to start this campaign as a way for people to help that would like to.  Funds raised through donation will go toward items such as the hospital stay, gas, meals, and medical costs.
