In honour of my 40th birthday this year, I am fundraising to kickstart The ROHO Project into action in Toronto.  ROHO (Room of Her Own) provides women and their children who have experienced domestic violence and trauma with gift cards to different home improvement and decorating stores as they transition from the shelter system into their own homes.

The funds raised through gofundme will go directly towards purchasing and building "ROHO packages" for women and their children at local shelters in Toronto.  These special packages will consist of gift cards to different home decorating and home improvement stores as well as a letter of encouragement and hope.  This way the families are able to purchase exactly the kinds of paint, supplies and home furnishings that they need to transform their new homes into something beautiful.

ROHO has been a dream of mine for several years now, as I myself transformed my own home, bit by bit. The power of paint has been transformative in my life, and it is my 40th birthday wish to pass along this transformative power to other women just like me.  I am truly grateful for every single donation and send you all huge thanks for all of your support!
