I am looking around at a world where intellectualism in the Church is on life support.
The Church is separate from the Academy and lacks the scholarship. The Academy is separate from the Church and lacks urgency. For this, the Church suffers. The intellectual life of the Church is in decline, and its congregants have little sense of systematic or biblical theology, and instead favor emotionalism and subjectivism. The Church has not history functioned in this manner. Yet, because it currently does, the Church has little to no meaningful effect on the world around it.
My vision is to see a Church that understands doctrine, history, theology, confessions, and those things that led to the original Reformation and Great Awakenings. CROSS & Culture exists to help you interact with the news and politics of the day in a way that stands on the truth of Scripture and the theology therein.
Please consider donating to the start of this function, so that we have the equipment to bring you quality productions.
The long term goals include theological video libraries, written books, online courses, an accredited Bible Institute, and many other things. But, we are at the beginning, and this will make or break those plans. Please consider supporting with a small donation, as we get started.
Grace and Peace,
Christopher Croom, M.BEx.
