Help Dulce Kick Cancer

On Sunday, May 22nd, Dulce was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia - a rare form of child and adolescent cancer. Needless to say, her life is never going to be quite the same again. 

We created this GoFundMe in order to get her life back as soon as possible and to ensure that Dulce and her family have everything they need in order to not only keep battling the cancer, but to allow Dulce to continue to follow her dreams of graduating high school, going to college, and experiencing life to it's fullest. 
She has just started her chemotherapy but it's going to be a long road - her doctors estimate that it will be a minimum of two years of chemo treatments before she is leading a normal life again. This is not going to be a short term battle, so we are aiming high to ensure she has everything she needs, both tomorrow and three years from now. This fund will work to ensure that Dulce and her family can focus on her getting well and not have to worry about money. For those of you who don't know Dulce very well - she is curious, smart, talented, creative, brave, and she stands up for what she believes in. I always go on and on about how I know the coolest teens in Grand Rapids, and she is one of them. She loves nature, art, and learning new things about the world around her. She's an amazing human being and needs all of the support we can give her.

Any money we raise will go directly to Dulce and her family to cover things like: 
-Hospital and treatment costs that insurance doesn't cover
-Ongoing care at home, to ensure she has everything she needs when she leaves the hospital (new sheets, healthy food, consistent rides to the hospital for chemo treatments, etc.) 
-Costs of living to help cover any unpaid days off from work that mom and dad need to take off to stay with Dulce (rent, bills, etc.)
-If a miracle happens and all other costs are covered, COLLEGE FUND (because this girl IS GOING to college).
