Hi my name is Andy and I was a foster carer for Staring Over Dog Rescue- In my time I helped foster and adopt out over 30plus unwanted, abused, abandoned, sick, malnourished, traumatised puppies. I put my heart, soul, blood, sweat, tears, time, trips to the vet & funds into sucessfully nurturing and caring these pups to health and then adopting them to their forever families.

In caring for these pups 2 of the 30 plus chose me to be their permanent carer - Berlin my almost 2 yearold greyhound x GSD who has already had a full hip replacement and now Kick Sauber my gorgeoud Staffy X who celebrated his 1st birthday on the 8th of August.

Kick came into my care with his mum and her 9pups dumped in a bin then taken to the pound! Mum was shutting down and not coping in the pound so they came into my care in my home.

Kick Sauber I knew justy wasnt quite right- after fostering so many dogs you know when something isnt ok. He couldnt walk properly, his kness ever so thick and after short strolls and plays he would limp. It got worse as time went on.

After seeing vet surgeons and having an unsuccessful arthroscopy it was found he has a rare birth defect where bone didnt form properly in both knees and he now required the knee bones and ligamnets to be stabilised.

$11,500 is his new operation quote after his first failed operation and countless Xray expenses in the thousands already. Insurance i have but it doesnt cover because it was deemed preexisting. Both his knees need to be done and the its 6 weeks of intense recovery and no movement!!! Preparing myself mentally for this also!!

He's is way too much of a beautful social pup to suffer in pain daily. When he goes to the dog park he is loved by all.

But everyone see's him struggle in constant pain and he can't be on pain meds his whole life as it will only get worse not better.

He needs this operation to live a full and happy life.

I have spent so much on my foster pups and I have run out of funds so I am seeking the goodwill of anyone- even if its the cost of your next takeaway coffee!!
