KICK ROCKS CANCER. Help Support Yaneth & Jeremiah!

Donation protected
Friends & Family,

The two beauties pictured above are my sister in-law and nephew, Yaneth and Jeremiah. They became part of our family through my youngest brother, Bryan, and I couldn’t be happier with the amount of love and memories they’ve added to our lives thus far

Yaneth is 22 years old and had Jeremiah will be three in July. A Pisces mama and a cancer son. Both extremely soft hearted, gentle and attached at the hip.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen Yaneth without a smile. Even through the pain she’s been feeling.

Yaneth’s Battle

When Yaneth was 16 she had a tumor removed from one of her breasts that was thankfully benign. Around a year ago another tumor started to grow rapidly. She was able to get the tumor removed without any complications, but she was diagnosed with Sarcoma.

Unfortunately, around February Yaneth started feeling pain around her armpit and a new tumor began to grow where the pain appeared.

She was able to see her Doctors in March to begin all necessary testing. March 18th the test results came back with the diagnosis of stage 4 soft-tissue sarcoma.

Soft-tissue sarcoma is aggressive and hard to cure. When she first got her labs back, there were two masses in each lung. Two of the masses were 2inches and the other two were three inches.

She had her first chemo treatment with two drugs on April 6th and her second on April 27th, with four more rounds scheduled every three weeks.

If these rounds of chemo are successful, her chemo treatments  will continue with one type of drug. Hopefully this will shrink the masses down, so that the remainder is small enough to be removed with surgery.

Since Yaneth started her treatment she had a couple complications. She was having severe pain and trouble breathing because the tumors were rapidly growing. Causing 3.5 liters of liquid in her lungs that had to be drained at the ER. Because she had to go back to the ER for a second time with this same issue, the doctors decided to insert a tube that could be drained by a nurse from home. We’re very happy that she doesn’t have to be alone at the hospital anymore amid this COVID-19 pandemic.

The past week Yaneth hasn’t been having any shortness of breath , but she’s been experiencing a lot of nausea, even with her anti-nausea prescriptions.

Luckily her medical marijuana card should be delivered within the next two weeks, and she’ll be able to eat and drink more regularly. - If anyone, or one of your loved ones have experienced this, please reach out to me for suggestions. We’re having a hard time getting her to eat/drink and keeping everything down.

We’re hoping that Yaneth will be a candidate for clinical trials, and can’t wait to take her to her first acupuncture appointment once the shelter in place order is lifted.

She’s young, strong and extremely optimistic, so we know she’s going to get through this!!! But tough people still need a community to cheer them on, so please keep Yaneth in your thoughts and prayers

HOW YOU CAN HELP!

Yaneth and Jeremiah are both living with my amazing and supportive mom, Elsa. Along with my siblings, Bryan and Sofia, and our two dogs, Monroe and Darla.

Its a a full house! Yaneth, Jerry, Monroe and Darla are obviously unable to work. My brother is currently making a low-wage as an essential worker, and my mom, sisters and I are out of work because of COVID-19.

This is is an extremely scary time for everyone. If you are able to donate ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING, it will make a difference! And our family will appreciate it more than you’ll ever know.

All donations are to help with medical and living expenses for Yaneth & Jeremiah <3
