Kianga's kitchen soul food Kiosk & kitchen

Kianga is the middle name of our mother, Nkechi Kianga Ajanaku. She envisioned opening a vegan restaurant to promote a plant-based diet that is not just good for you but delicious.

Kianga’s Kitchen started as an African/ soul food catering service led by Nkechi Kianga Ajanaku. She was known for her sweet potato cheesecake and her southern greens, cooked without animal products that created a superior taste for cooked greens.

In 2017 Nkechi Kianga Ajanaku passed away. Her passing devastated our family and community. A year later, her youngest son Tor Ajanaku and his Wife, Romoke Ajanaku, decided to continue Nkechi Kianga Ajanaku's dream by Launching Kianga’s Kitchen as a Vegan catering business and food stand at special events in August 2018. Since then, Nkechi Kianga Ajanaku's oldest two, Bolanile and Obayana Ajanaku, have joined the team.

The plan is to open a vegan restaurant and holistic wellness center to provide a space for people to learn and access vegan health food and wellness services. Considering the many food related illnesses that plague our community, we are dedicating to providing an alternative solution to aid in the various efforts to live a heather life through providing delicious vegan foods.

We are very close to opening a permanent location where the Knoxville community can sit and enjoy Kianga's Vegan Soulfood In our Kitchen in Downtown Knoxville. We need your help.

We were able to raise some funds already. We only need $10,000 to fully launch our permanent site in Downtown Knoxville before the end of the year.

The money raised will go towards the start-up cost for moving into our permanent location.

Your gift will help us make our dream a reality and expedite the process of bringing the first Vegan soul food kitchen to Knoxville and East Tennessee.
