Kian's Kicking Cancer's Booty! #KianAmelio

In March of 2019, Sahar and Mike's world was turned upside down, their 3 month old son Kian had a tumor on his kidney. They wasted no time finding the best surgeon and removing the tumor and also the kidney. Unfortunately, the tumor ruptured and pathology found that it was an aggressive type of cancer (Rhabdoid). Kian started chemotherapy treatment in April and will need to complete 8 rounds (estimated to be done in September). He will also need Radiation to ensure this awful disease does not return. I have known Sahar since we were around 5 years old and I have been amazed by her strength and courage throughout this process. Her and/or Mike have pretty much lived at Fairfax Hospital over the last 4 months and have also been working full time and trying to maintain a sense of normalcy for their (almost) 3 year old daughter Yara. Any money raised will be used to pay medical bills and to hopefully allow Sahar to take September off (without pay) when Kian undergoes his last round of Chemo and a week of Radiation. I know that Kian has stolen a lot of hearts over his short 7 months on this earth and has a huge community rooting him on in this miraculous journey.
