Paris, We Love You
My mother, Paris, has been the driving force behind this pursuit for all of my 20 years.
But on April 8, 2012, Easter Sunday, I found out that my beautiful mother has no more than four to five months left, as a result of the primary peritoneal cancer that has been spreading throughout her body for the past two years.
My mother was named after Paris, France, because it was her father's
favorite city in the world, yet she's never visited. Thus it is my mission to
take her to Paris with our family over the summer for one week.
She attended every horse show I've had over the past nine years, every one of my older sister's softball games, and brought her own cowbell to my older brother's high school football games. Despite her sickness, she continues to counsel myself and my three siblings, and strives to spoil my sister's two children"”as she believes a good grandmother should.
I humbly ask for any help you are willing to offer, as this
wish is the one thing I feel that I must do for my mom"”the one person I love
the most and can't imagine life without. Please donate whatever you can. Thank you so much.
