Help rebuilding my life

My name is Eric, I am a college graduate. Earlier this month, my car was totaled in an accident that I was involved in. Unfortunately, due to the value of the car..it was declared totaled by my insurance company and , since I still owe payments on the vehicle, the settlement will go to who I've been making the payments to and not to me, so I have to purchase a new vehicle but have not been able to afford to purchase one because I've been out of work due to the pandemic. I need to be able to purchase a car so that I can have reliable transportation to my place of employment  that I just got hired into, so that I can be able to rebuild my life.
