Alice's Medical Fund

Around 8:00pm on January 5th, my mom's life was forever changed.  She had a brain aneuryism that ruptured which led to her being airlifted that night to MUSC for immediate surgery.  After having a tube place in her brain for drainage and surgery to repair the rupture, she spent the next 8 days in ICU in a coma like state...still responding here and there, just not opening her eyes or using the left side of her body.  We spent every day with her anxiously  awaiting for progress although unsure of what each day held.  The following 7 days were spent in a regular room on the Neurology floor with dedicated treatment on her recovery.  Either Jim or I have been with her everyday since this has taken place.  Sitting with her throughout every day, staying in a hotel at night, and back bright and early the following day.  She has made TREMENDOUS progress and has displayed outstanding traits for what a true fighter looks like.....SHE'S A BEAST!  Once she is discharged from MUSC, she will spend a few weeks in a rehabilitation center working on strengthening her muscles and balance. No one could ever imagine this happening, but we are grateful for God sparing her life and granting us more precious time to spend with her.  I give God all the glory for the miracles I personally have witnessed these past 2 weeks and thank him repeatedly for saving my momma's life.
