We have had this idea bouncing around for years because as we go towards a cashless society, we generally cannot give change and small bills out anymore to those of us experiencing homelessness. The question was, how can we still give directly without having cash on us at all times. 

So with that, a group of us have gotten together to start handing out gift cards.  We have bought the first $500.00 in gift cards, 50 Tim's cards each @ 10 bucks so they can get a couple coffees or a sandwich at lunch. 

Will provide updates now that the cards have arrived. Please donate your "loose change" so we can go back and continue this important work.

*** Note that 100% of all the gifts we receive go directly to the gift cards. We are overwhelmed with the support so far and will be ordering a new batch shortly, after we have given out all of Tim's cards first. 


**** UPDATE  - words can't even describe how grateful we are to everyone who has sent us their "loose change." We have turned your money into HUNDREDS of gift cards, mainly Tim Horton's and Presto cards, and have made connections with shelters and organizations who have distributed the cards throughout the community.  Your loose change has made a big impact on the lives of so many citizens living without a permanent home in the GTA.
