Waxed Cotton Food Bags come in a range of vibrant colors.
Mazie Girls is an organization run by a group of high school girls dedicated to making change in their community. We were originally founded in 2018 when we ran a successful campaign to raise money for the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank. We sold reusable canvas tote bags at local farmer’s markets, and with your help were able to raise an amazing $5,463 dollars, which not only helped relieve hunger here in the Bay Area, but also encouraged people to reduce plastic bag use.
This year, we want to do even better! We have partnered with the food bank once again, and we are preparing to sell stylish and reusable waxed food storage bags at farmers markets in our community. Help us raise money for our production run. Donate $20 to this fund raiser and get 3 waxed cotton produce bags mailed to you. 100% of the proceeds go to the SF-Marin Food Bank.
We’ve developed a range of top quality waxed cotton bags that can be used almost any time you would use plastic bags for food. Perfect for keeping all your bread, sandwiches & produce fresh. We will be selling this limited edition set of 3 large 11”x11” bags infused with beeswax, pine rosin and jojoba oil at select Farmers Markets for 5 weeks this Spring.
As many as 55,000 households rely on the food bank every week, nearly twice as many as before the pandemic. For every $20 set of bags we sell, we can donate $11 to the Food Bank. For every $1 we donate, the Food Bank can purchase $5 of food. The more bags we print, the more money per bag we can donate, because the costs of production go down.
We are passionate about combating food insecurity, reducing plastic waste, and engaging youth in our community. But we can’t do it alone. We need your help! Please, if you are able, consider donating $20 dollars to help us in our fight, and you will receive a pack of three of our bags as a gift for your support.
