Kezia's Nephrotic Syndrome Fight

My daughter, my once active, jolly and hardworking daughter who just turned 17 this November 3rd, Kezia Mae, has been diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome and Chronic Kidney Disease. Before this took place, my daughter was one of the most shimmering & dedicated students in her class. Kezia was active in the church choir and children ministry, but now my daughter is bed fast. Confined to her home, she cannot leave to be with friends, or attend the school band and volleyball activities that she devoted her adolescent life.

Due to her condition she has to postpone her life goal of becoming a pediatrician: her love for children and seeing them maintain a strong and healthy lifestyle is what she aspires to pursue as a career. Unfortunately with her condition, this pursuit of happiness is under the threat of elimination. The blood pressure issues, shortness of breath, constant pain and inability to walk as a result of generalized edema (anasarca in medical terms) coupled with a compromised immune system afforded her feelings of unresolved fatigue and isolation. The strongest medications available under financial limitations have minimal effect, and she is required now to have a kidney biopsy, albumin infusions and other medical workups that unfortunately require money that as a family we lack. Knowing this looming situation, Kezia feels guilt and has begun to lose hope, showing signs of depression when clearly the issue is not her fault.

All I ask is for financial help: any assistance, big or small, is helpful. The end-goal funding is too large for a sole provider like myself for a household of 5 children. Even with the help of my other kids who sacrifice their savings to the finances directed for Kezia. Please help me bring back my daughter to her happy, healthy self.
