Kick in for Kevin with Camera!

As many of you may know, our colleague and friend, Kevin Coffin was diagnosed with cancer earlier this summer.  Kevin has already had surgery to remove the primary tumor, but has extensive treatment ahead of him - including chemotherapy - to defeat this disease.

Being a cameraman is a physically demanding job, and as a result Kevin will not be able to return to work for at least two more months while he receives treatment and then takes time needed to regain his strength.  Having cancer is scary enough; but doing so with minimal income to cover mounting medical bills is downright daunting.

It is a cameraman's thankless job to make everyone else look good.  From assignment editors, to producers to reporters - Kevin works tirelessly to create good content, packages and live shots that the rest of us so often get credit for.  In addition, he so very often provides a level of humor and camaraderie that is invaluable in such a fast paced and stressful business.

It is now our turn, as Kevin's colleagues and friends, to return the favor and help lift him up.  No donation is too small - even a $5 contribution will go towards gas to get him from one crucial appointment to the next.  Things like rent, insurance, groceries and utilities all still demand to be paid - whether you have cancer or not.  

I would like to keep this fund open through the month of September, and ideally present Kevin with the money at the begin of October to help him with that month's bills.
