My father, Kevin Pattison, has been sick pretty much his whole adult life. He has battled with chron's disease since 17 and if that isn't enough was diagnosed with prostate cancer and Hodgkin's lymphoma. He also suffers from a blood disease I have no idea how to spell, high blood pressure, and had a small stroke.
More recently, he went in for a triple bypass but when they opened him up discovered he had blockage in all 4 arteries requiring a quadruple bypass. Two days after the bypass surgery his intestines perforated and 4 inches of his large intestines were removed. My dad has been and still is recovering in the ICU. He was intubated for 6 days going in and out of consciousness. Now hes awake, alert, and trying to eat. Hopefully, in a few days he will try to walk. His road to recovery will be a long one. But after all this he remained strong.
My parents live in Ponca City, Oklahoma which is a very small town. The heart hospital is two hours away from my parents house. Therefore, my mom is using a lot of gas going back and forth every day. My mothers vacation time is running out and she will need to get back to work. My dad has used up his vacation time already and he definitely won't be going back to work anytime soon.
I am asking for donations, any amount would be helpful, to offset the cost of gas, supplement my mother's income so she can take more time off of work, and to help with medical expenses that insurance won't cover.
Prayers too please. I know prayers helped with his recovery so far and we appreciate it.
