I'm raising money in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.

My recent brush with cancer showed me how amazing our NHS and staff are. They worked wonders to remove my cancer and then fix my nose afterwards. Just after my various surgeries I looked like I’d gone 12 rounds with Tyson Fury. But now it’s healing well and I look like I’ve been rugby tackled by an over exuberant Boris Johnson. Physical scars heal over time. With proper support, emotional and physical wounds heal too.

While the medical support was out of this world, a big part of my journey was the emotional and mental health support I needed at the same time. In many ways that was the bigger battle and it continues as my body slowly heals.

I’ve received support from work through counselling with added support through MacMillan on their website and telephone lines. On top of all the support I received from loved ones, family and friends.

Cancer is more than a medical issue and I want to help others get the full range of help, advice, assistance and support they need to fight it, beat it and live life to the full afterwards.
