Kevin's Kidney Transplant

In February 2017 I was unexpectedly diagnosed to be in Stage 5 kidney failure.  I had a chest catheter inserted and began dialysis the next day. I go to dialysis 3 times a week for 4 hours a session.  These treatments usually cause me to cramp severely, sometimes to the point of passing out. I have an unusual condition that causes my blood and/or fibrin to clot the machine sometimes causing me to lose blood and not be able to obtain a full treatment.  

Since being diagnosed I have had over 30 chest catheters, 2 peritoneal dialysis catheters, a graft, and a fistula.  Unfortunately, all have failed. 

My medical bills are already over $2,000,000.00.

My best hope of survival is a kidney transplant.  Which isn't a cure but another form of treatment.  After transplant my anti-rejection medications will cost about $17,000.00 per year.

As part of the final steps of being placed on the transplant list I need to have some dental work done and show that I will have enough funds to meet my co-pays for medications post transplant.  I was instructed by my transplant center that I needed to start fundraising as I understand is common among transplant patients.

Any funds received will be used for the dental work needed to get final approval on the transplant list, medications and costs related to my medical condition and inability to work. If I were to pass before I can obtain a transplant any remaining monies will go to my son.
