Kevin Longtin - Medical Expenses

Donation protected

Back in November,  Kevin had an ER visit for blood clots. After trying to break up the clot with TPA catheters for a few days, it was unsuccessful and the lower left portion of his leg had to be amputated. Thankfully, the surgeon set him up well for a future prosthesis!

He was able to head home December 2nd and was doing well at home with OT and PT.

On January 2nd, Kevin had a mild heart attack at home and then a bigger heart attack while in Cavalier  He also threw a few clots to the brain but they were small.  In Grand Forks, they found a 95% blockage in his largest artery and he got a stent in immediately.  They stopped all blood thinners and were watching for the remaining clots to clear.  The doctor said they have to find the right blood thinner when he is ready.  They are also treating him  for a slight left side weakness which will probably improve.  Kevin was doing great with a fitted prosthesis, and he walked on the parallel bars last week!  Let us pray he can do that again soon!!!

If you are able, please help the Longtin family with medical expenses, transportation and hotel bills as Laurie, Hailey, Ross, Taylor and Kaci support Kevin on his journey back to good health.
