Kevin John Andryshak

August 18, 1993 - July 27, 2018

Kevin John “Kevy” Andryshak, age 24 of Goshen, NY, passed away on Friday, July 27, 2018.

Kevin set his own style, pace, and rhythm with an iconic smile that could light up the world and the best hugs to be found. His personality was infectious, and he radiated kindness. Whether giving you a hug and a kiss on the cheek after not seeing you for a while, or offering a handshake as introduction, Kevin made everyone feel like they’d known him forever.

He loved taking care of and feeding people beautiful food. He was a friend, hard-working colleague, and charismatic presence. For the past ten years, Kevin spent his weekends working a farmer’s market with his beloved Grandma A and Peyton where he’d sling veggies with a joke and a smile, brightening the daily lives of everyone he encountered.

When he wasn’t working, you’d find Kevin wherever he could feel the wind in his hair and the sun on his face. If the sun was shining, he’d say, it was a good day (of course, that day got even better if you added Italian food and a Modelo). Kevin loved fiercely and completely; one of the best examples of this was the past year he spent with his nephew Dawson, saying “he makes my heart warm.”

Kevin was born on August 18, 1993. He leaves behind a large and loving family, including his father Kevin Andryshak, Sr. (wife Ruth), devoted sister Chelsea (husband Bryan), mother Lisa Wallgren, siblings Peyton, Juliet, Natalie, Sofia, and Christian, nephew Dawson, grandmother Caroline, his beloved Brianna, best friends Peter and Tyler, fur babies Leo and Bella, and too many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins to name.

In an effort to help others, Kevin’s family wants to be respectfully transparent about his passing. With the support and love of his family, friends, and a rehabilitation program, Kevin fought an inner battle. This battle ultimately ended when he took his own life on Friday.

If you are struggling in any way, Kevin’s family implores you to reach out for help and connection. Be aware of and involved in the lives of those around you who may need love and support (National Suicide Prevention Hotline: 1-800-273-TALK).

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Kevin’s name to Villa Veritas Foundation in Kerhonkson, NY.

A memorial service will be held from 4-7 PM on Friday, August 3, at Morse Funeral Home (33 Railroad Ave., Middletown, NY)
