Kevin Devine -Covid Hospitalized 67 Days

Kevin was in the hospital for the past 67 days due to the Corona virus and was on a ventilator for over a month.  Also, during that time, his kidneys were failing and he was put on dialysis. He subsequently had a tracheotomy administered and also needed surgery due to the severe bed sores he had developed. More tragic, he was alone the whole time, no one was able to visit, not even his wife. So far, he has lost 65lbs and will probably lose more as his struggles continue.  Kevin was a healthy strong man and now he needs assistance just to walk several steps.

During this time, his wife Lori was left alone to care for their disabled wheelchair bound daughter Michele who struggles to understand why her dad is gone for so long or if she will ever see him again. 

Yesterday, after 67 days in the hospital, we received our first bit of good news, Kevin was transferred from the hospital to a rehabilitation facility and now will begin months of physical therapy that will be needed just so he can get back on his feet.  We don’t know if he will fully recover or will ever be able to return to work.

Kevin’s medical bills will be astronomical.
