Nikita Fund For Education

Dear Community,

I come to you all nervous and uncertain. For those who know me more personally, it is unusual for me to ask for help. However, I refuse to wallow over lack of finacial aid and my rocky journey to my degree when I know you all have my back.

I am asking your support in paying my college bill of 11,000. My goal is to fundraise a portion of that (5,000), so that I can at least start the semester.  Any penny that you can give would be well appreciated. My education journey has been extremely rocky and my first inclination was to give up and wait until I had financial clearing. However, my plea grows out of my desire to continue my Thesis this academic semester.

This semseter, I will be working with Black Womyn to uplift our stories of sexual violence, and make concrete demands for our community, colleges, businesses etc. Engaging in this work has been my emotional lifeline throughout my own experiences of sexual violence. It has been my way to heal in a collective space that is also geared towards action.

I am asking you all to help me really continue in that work. I am asking you all to support me in obtaining my degree (only 2 semesters left).
