A New Quest 'Beast of Burden'

Since 2008, David and Stacy have been supporting camping trips for hundreds of South Bay Area kids and their families as volunteers with Quest Ministries.  For every one of countless camping and snow trips to the Sierras, Death Valley, and mountains throughout California, their personal vehicle, "The Beast," has taken the equipment, supplies, and people there.  Purchased used in 2003, this Ford F-150 served faithfully, being asked to do much more than it ever was designed to do - carrying supplies for groups as large as 32 for extended self-sustained, off-road trips in some of the most rugged and remote places in the Western U.S.  Countless youth have had new or first-time outdoor experiences made possible in part by this vehicle.
         Sadly, the "Beast" died at the end of this last summer - the blown engine will cost much more to repair than the truck is worth.  As Quest Ministries activities continue to grow in scope and participation, David and Stacy will need a new "Beast of Burden" to serve as the logistical workhorse of the trips.  A friend of the ministry has offered a replacement truck that is a great fit and is designed to handle the demands of Quest trips, and at a very reasonable price.  This campaign is raising money to offset Dave and Stacy's personal expenses in purchasing the vehicle and outfitting it for use in ministry.
