Keshia’s Surgery/Medical/Recovery

For those who know me, I’m not usually one to post about my personal life on social media. I’m struggling right now as I break that trend. I’ve recently been diagnosed with an autoimmune disease (lupus, arthritis), as well as pretty severe injuries in my right knee. As a result of this, I’m having knee surgery on my meniscus this coming Monday. It should be outpatient so long as it goes well, but the medical bills already piling from this, as well as the time off work that I’ll need, have put me on the outs. My work doesn’t provide disability or much for PTO, as we are commission-based. I’m reaching out for help at this time. As hard as it is for me to ask, I am really hoping that I’m able to get through all this without losing everything. It’s always a risk being in a service industry, but my work is where my heart is. I am and forever will be grateful for any help, big or small, family, friend or otherwise. Everything helps! Money raised will go directly to paying my $2350 copay Monday, the medical equipment (still need a shower seat and a rolling stool to get around my apartment), prescriptions I’ll need, including for recovery, and bills/basic living expenses while I’m unable to work over the next couple weeks.
