Kerry's Cancer Fundraiser - Urgent Treatment

My name is Sara and my Dad Kerry has been diagnosed with prostate and kidney cancer, and urgently needs your help!

Unfortunately in the current climate (COVID) getting public healthcare in Sydney is a slow process and we have been warned we need to act urgently. This means we need to go private to get him the treatment he needs. We need to cover the costs of a PET scan and following this, urgent surgery. This would include at the very least the anaesthesiologist fees and private hospital care, plus anything else we are unaware of as yet. On the advice of specialists we are likely looking at an urgent radical prostatectomy. Our fundraising goal is much less than the treatment will cost however is much more than we have the ability to cover without your help.

We understand that this is a hard time for everyone so don't expect much, but every little bit would be greatly appreciated.

In the unlikely event that there are any funds leftover, it will be donated to the hard hit entertainment industry which Kerry loves and has spent most of his life serving in.

Dad is a very down to earth bloke, despite how many Australian Music Industry books you will find his name in. So much so, that if he finds out I have created this page, we will all be in trouble. (So don't tell him yet!)

For those few of you who know Dad, whichever name you know him by, you know how lucky you are. For those unlucky few who have yet to meet him, He is impossible to summarise, so here are some of the things he is most adored for.

He is a proud Aboriginal man, An icon in the industry, The life of the party, A larrikin, An incredible father to myself and my brother Kelly, The love of my Mothers life, The "BEST PA IN THE WORLD and he finds money in my ears!?" according to my daughter, A loyal friend, The man with a plan, The most unexpected and creative gardener, The mastermind behind many an urban legend that still haunt plenty of touring bands, Roadie/Runner/Driver/ETC to any band that has ever mattered, My number one fan, and unfortunately a Rabbitohs supporter. (But don't hold that against him)
