Help Kerry, Jessica and Isaac go on holiday this summer

In July 2024 we lost one of the very, very best, Glenn Kirkwood.

In August 2023, Doctors told ''Kirky'' he had metastatic urothelial carcinoma. Despite undergoing six rounds of palliative chemotherapy in an effort to extend his life, the father-of-two died at Ashgate Hospice in his hometown of Chesterfield aged just 47.

There aren't enough words to describe Kirky, he was honest, reliable, funny, hard working, energetic, loyal, kind, and always smiling. Family meant EVERYTHING.

The last 18 months have been very difficult for Kerry, Jessica and Isaac. Last summer was as hard as anything could be. Since we lost Kirky, Kerry, along with other family members, have done a brilliant job with the kids, protecting them and trying to make life as normal as possible. Kerry works full time as well as bringing two wonderful kids up. Jessica and Isaac are both football mad like their dad, and both play Saturday's and Sunday's as well as training most days of the week. As well as trying to be in several places at the same time, there are all the other jobs that come with looking after two kids.

We are trying to fundraise to send Kerry, Jessica and Isaac on holiday this summer. As you can imagine, being a single parent is very difficult financially, and although Kerry works so hard to do as many things as she possibly can herself, we feel that we would like to help. Last summer the family didn't go on holiday as Glenn was so poorly. We'd love to raise enough to give them a nice break, they totally deserve it.
