When the going gets tough, the tough get going.
Whenever anyone has a medical emergency or needs for any reason, there is not many that Carla Schubert passes on. She is always there to lend a helping hand. She fixes food, donates product or her time to help so many. At this point however Carla has found herself on the other side and is in need of others assistance.
Carla has been diagnosed with endometrial cancer, basically cancer of the uterus. She had surgery on the 5th and is currently in recovery for 2 weeks staying with one of her daughters. The doctor has stated that she will likely need to undergo both chemo and radiation as the cancer was more advance than previously thought. What is hard for Carla is the fact that she will not be able to drive for those two weeks, this is difficult for her because she has been so diligent in helping her youngest sister Betty with her cancer appointments. Following her two weeks of not being able to do much, she then will be on light duty for 6 weeks.
Carla is not the only one in her household to have a medical condition; her husband Kerry was life-flighted over Christmas Eve and has been diagnosed with gastritis, esophagitis and liver disease. He was released early last week right before Carla's surgery. He’s got a very low hemoglobin and platelets count which makes him very week. He’s on light duty until his local doctor releases him and has also signed up for treatment to help save his future. Kerry is a hard worker and is also willing to help anyone that needs help.
The two have always counted on each other but are now in need of other’s help. With the astronomical cost of medical care, it is imperative that the Schubert’s have financial help because the bills come in but the paychecks do not. Please if you are able, help this giving family at their time of need.
