Hi my name is Tam and reaching out to friends of Kerrie Thomsen who maybe able offer a little support after losing her Dad on Tuesday.

If you have lost a parent, you know how heartbreaking it is... especially when there is a painful & traumatic past.

This is just a quiet way to help my dear friend Kerrie get through the next couple of weeks.

Her Dad grew up in Tasmania, a Vietnam Veteran who has struggled with PTSD ever since.

He worked with Parks & Wildlife for many years.

He fought lung, throat and bowel cancer for 3 yrs but got all clear a year ago so he moved back down to Tasmania recently.

Last Thursday they found out he had a massive tumour on his hip, his body was riddled with cancer and he was in extreme pain. The family were told they needed to get down there asap.

From Friday until he passed Tuesday afternoon... Kerrie and family members kept vigil at his bedside.

Unfortunately if Kerrie doesn't work there is no pay, she doesn't have annual leave etc so there is no money to pay rent, bills etc. She has just missed a week of work and needs to cover her costs to fly down to Tasmania again next Thurs for his funeral on Friday and return Saturday.

Trying to process her grief it is all weighing heavily right now and I thought just maybe those who know her could share this to others who may be able to spare a few $'s just to help her get through.

When she found out I wanted to do this she asked me not to....

I have spoken with her since has finally agreed as long as its not plastered over fb.

Since we can't be in Tasmania to support her I am hopeful we can do this instead. Thanks for whatever you can contribute no matter how small. ✨️❤️‍✨️
