<div>In 2020, Andy was diagnosed with cancer. He had to have several surgeries, and the complications from those left him so weak that he was fighting for his life almost on a daily basis. He spent weeks at a time in the hospital, and because of the pandemic, he was not allowed to have any visitors. It was a lonely time for us.

<div>As the start of the 2020 school year approached, I (Deborah) kept asking the public schools what accomodations they could give for our family. Andy’s health was so fragile that he could not even catch a common cold, let alone the coronavirus. Our family had to do everything possible to keep him safe.

<div>The public schools had no answers for us. I decided that I would homeschool instead.

<div>Andy’s body finally became strong enough that he could start receiving chemotherapy. Since then, he has received not only that, but other procedures including radiation and also cryoablation.
</div>
<div>The doctors say that the cancer is not curable, but they do the best they can with the treatments to try to shrink each spot of cancer when it shows up.
</div>

<div>The treatments also come with plenty of side effects. Between the side effects and the many appointments, Andy cannot work as much as he would like to support our family.

<div>Using savings and gifts from caring people, we were able to survive financially up til now. But these past years have worn us down physically, mentally, and also financially.
</div>

<div>Please help us care for Andy and our family by donating. This money will be used for expenses such as electricity, food, water, and clothing. The daily stress of dealing with cancer, side effects, and all it affects is so big. This would help ease some of that stress and hopefully allow us to enjoy our moments together as a family.
